Decision Made: We’re Changing Hemispheres!

----Indonesia is made up of over 17,000 islands----

So that’s it.

I’ve accepted the offer from Indonesia and starting in August I will be the Vice President of Sustainability and Stakeholder Relationships for my friend’s Indonesian company. We will be there for at least two years.

I can’t mention too much more about the organization until they finish the IPO process (I described it a little in my last post), but Rocio and I are thrilled to be embarking on this adventure together. And we are expecting many visitors. The island of Bali is right next door after all.

Last week Rocio and I were there, checking out housing and looking at potential jobs for her. We both feel like we have had special direction and insight from above, and we are excited to have to depend on each other in a new culture/country/continent/climate.

Change anyone?

Hi Matt, Congrats! When you say IPO will those shares be offered in the USA? I’m interested in being a small investor. Thanks… :)

Wow! How exciting! I am so pleased for you. I look forward to hearing more about the journey. Our church has three teams heading to Indonesia this summer. Wish I was going. Maybe next year. You will be in my prayers, For Him, Pam

Thanks so much Stacey and Pam!

I want to come see you both! We are praying for this journey for both you and Rocio. God is so good and faithful.

Does this mean you’re giving up basketball for cricket???

Marianne and I are very excited that God will be using you both in Indonesia. What a mission field and a great business to work for as well. Praise God for his direction in your life!

Woj – Crickett, no. But I will come back playing some pretty fierce badminton. It is the national sport after all…

Thanks Tim!
